Absolute Homebrew
Absolute Homebrew is at Shop 7, the rear of 40 Phillip St, St Marys in Western Sydney, and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am. Access to the shop is from the side street, Gidley Street, and through the car park at the rear of the building. Aim for the corner of Gidley and Phillip streets.
Australia Day
Absolute Homebrew will be closed for the Australia Day holiday, Thursday January 26.
Package deals: Whether you want to start yourself, or are looking for a gift then we can help with a variety of package deals. We supply starter packages for beer, and spirits and liqueurs. We also supply package deals for kegged and draught beer.
Beer: We carry over 80 varieties of homebrew beer concentrate kits including Black Rock, Cascade, Coopers, Morgans, Muntons and the Brewer’s Selection wort kits.
Absolute Homebrew specialises in grain brewing. At the St Marys shop we carry over 45 varieties of malted barley and other grains, plus a wide selection of hops as well as an increasing amount of grain brewing equipment. We import Wyeast liquid yeasts directly from the USA.
We also carry an extensive range of kegging and dispensing equipment and spare parts, including My Keg on Legs carbon dioxide cylinders. We supply a variety of keg system packages.
Spirit and liqueur essences: Our range is one of the biggest in Sydney. We stock Still Spirits, Samuel Willards, Edwards, and the Gold Medal range including the very popular Bodine’s Bourbon. We also supply all the equipment to suit, coyly known as water purification equipment.
Wyeast pre-orders
The next round of Wyeast pre-orders closes on Monday January 24th at 7 pm with delivery expected Thursday February 3rd.
Facebook page
We have now started a Facebook page. Shop events such as brewing demonstrations, Wyeast orders, and arrival of new stock will all be posted on Facebook. As well, there will be some shop specials that will be announced on Facebook, but more about that later. And if you have any brewing questions why not ask them on Facebook? Other people will probably appreciate the answers as well.
Brewing demonstration
Absolute Homebrew runs regular brewing demonstrations. The most recent was November 6, the next will be some time early 2012.
