Absolute Homebrew imports Wyeast liquid yeast directly from the USA every month.
We import the 125 ml Wyeast Activator packs. The yeast is contained in a foil pouch. Inside the pouch is a small plastic bag of liquid nutrients. To activate the yeast locate the nutrient bag inside the pouch and then whack it to release the nutrients to the yeast. When the pouch has puffed then the yeast is ready to pitch. The Activator pack is in effect a mini-starter. There is enough yeast to pitch directly into a 20 to 22 litre wort.
The best way to get the Wyeast strain you want is to pre-order and pre-pay through this website. Generally, orders close at 6 pm on the first Monday of each month. The Wyeast arrives two Thursdays afterwards. The cost is $13.00 per Activator pack. Here is the Wyeast Pre-order page.
