All parcels are sent using Australia Post. Australia Post charges in one of two ways, either by weight or by volume. They will charge whichever is the greater. The maximum parcel weight Australia Post accepts is 20 kg. Parcels are posted at customers’ risk.
The rates below apply to orders which comprise a single parcel weighing less than 20 kg packed for which Australia Post charges by weight. The order weight given at this website’s checkout is a guide only. The order may weigh more because of packing, or it may be charged by volume because it is bulky - eg fermenters, bottle trees etc.
Registration and insurance
For valuable orders I strongly recommend registered post with suitable insurance for loss and damage. The rates are very reasonable. Registration costs $2.95 and includes insurance to the value of $100. Insurance costs an extra $1.35 for each $100 of further insurance. Remember, we are no longer responsible for your order once it is handed over to Australia Post. If you want your order sent registered and insured simply order the amount of insurance you want by going to Inusurance and registration.
Orders of $120 or less
Greater Sydney
Orders weighing 500 grams or less will be charged $7.00 for postage, orders weighing more will be charged $8.50 postage.
Rest of NSW & ACT
For areas classed by Australia Post as N2 (that is everywhere else except Broken Hill and some areas on the Murray - check the postcodes at the bottom of the page) orders weighing 500 grams or less will be charged $7.00 for postage. Orders weighing over 500 grams will be charged the Australia Post rate plus one dollar.
Rest of Australia
Orders weighing less than 500 grams will be charged $7.00 for postage. Orders which will fit in a 3 kg Post Satchel will be charged $11.00. All other orders will be charged the Australia Post rate plus one dollar.
For some remote areas an Australia Post 5 kg Express Post satchel is the most effective means and will be used accordingly.

Greater Sydney, NSW (N2) & ACT
No postage charged.
Rest of Australia
For orders that will fit in a 3 kg Post Satchel no postage will be charged.
All other orders will be charged the Australia Post rate plus one dollar less whatever the postage would be for the same parcel to go to the N2 area of NSW.
